Handling accessibility requests and complaints
Everyone has the right to request the availability of a digital website, mobile application, or some element thereof. You can also request information in alternative forms, such as reading an inaccessible document, describing the content of a video without an audio description, etc. The request should include the data of the person submitting the request, an indication of which website or mobile application it is, and how to contact the person filing the request. If the person making the request wishes to receive the information in an alternative form, they should also specify the form of this information.
The public entity should comply with the request without delay and no later than within seven days. If this deadline cannot be met, the public entity shall promptly indicate when it will be possible to comply with the request, but this time, the limit shall not be longer than two months from the date of the request. Where it is impossible to ensure digital accessibility, the public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing information.
In the event that an entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint may be filed against such action.

Accessibility of communication and information
Pursuant to Art. 9 sections 3 and 4 of the Act of 19 August 2011 on Sign Language and Other Means of Communication (Journal Of Laws No. 209, item 1243), Cracow University of Technology informs that it provides eligible persons with the possibility to use the assistance of a sign language interpreter and the following means of communication support by e-mail, which can be sent to bon@pk.edu.pl.
The entitled person should report the willingness to use the help of a sign language interpreter or other form of communication at least three working days before the visit to the University (excluding emergencies) through a designated person or by e-mail.
In order to improve the service to the eligible person, it is recommended that the notification specifies the subject matter of the case and the method of contact for issues related to the appointment, form of communication, etc.
Twenty-three typhlographic boards described in Braille have been installed for visually impaired persons as part of the “Accessible CUT” project. A list of the boards is available at: https://bon.pk.edu.pl/studenci/dostepnosc-architektoniczna/
For people with visual impairments, iBeacon tags, an element of the IntoNavi system, have also been installed. The system is designed to facilitate communication, movement and orientation for people with disabilities. Tags are located, among others, at the typhlographic boards. The lecture halls in each faculty are equipped with fifteen induction loops for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. These halls are marked accordingly. Information on the location of the loops is available from building administrators and the Office for Persons with Disabilities.

From the hall, a vestibule leads to the entrance to the courtyard, from which an elevator is available on the left. The elevator on level 0 can be accessed directly from the courtyard.
The other entrances from the courtyard are inaccessible to people with mobility disabilities, due to high steps.
The south-side basement (cloakroom, laboratories) and the high ground floor (part of the central administration) are inaccessible.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ENTRANCES TO THE BUILDINGS:
The student residence buildings are designed as ten-story buildings with twin layouts. These include:
- DS-1 – Rumcajs – 3 Skarżyńskiego Street
- DS-2 – Leon – 5 Skarżyńskiego Street
- DS-3 – Bartek – 7 Skarżyńskiego Street
- DS-4 – Balon – 9 Skarżyńskiego Street
Each building has a west-facing entrance, a ramp and an elevator suitable for people with mobility disabilities.
The Student Housing Administration is located in the DS-2 building, rooms 01, 02, 03.
ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY DISABILITIES:
The buildings have elevators adapted to the needs of people with mobility disabilities.
The DS-4 building has a public toilet adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, and it is located on the ground floor.
The DS-1, DS-3, and DS-4 buildings have living quarters adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
There are two designated parking spaces on the north side of the estate next to the DS-4 building. In addition, 2 parking spaces are designated in the outdoor parking lot for people with disabilities.
There are public transport stops near the Student Housing Estate (about 5 min.).

DS-6 DIDACTIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING “KWADRAT” (“SQUARE”)

DESCRIPTION OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING:
The building is accessible through five entrances.
Two entrances are located on the south side: to the International Education Centre and to Kwadrat Club. Three entrances are located on the north side: to the Sports and Recreation Center, the Printing Department, and the Cracow University of Technology Publishing House; in addition, one exit, also located on the north side, is an escape staircase leading from the Kwadrat Club and the International Education Center.
A staircase equipped with elevators leads to the first floor at the entrances on the south side.
The entrances located on the north side of the building are not suitable for people with disabilities.
ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY DISABILITIES:
One of the entrances on the south side of the International Education Centre is accessible for people with disabilities. Access to the first floor is possible via stairs equipped with a lift, and a toilet for people with disabilities is located on the ground floor.
The second entrance leads to the Kwadrat Club, which is partially accessible, with an accessible toilet on the ground floor and a staircase equipped with an elevator leading to the clubhouse, located on the first floor. The Club lacks mezzanine access for people with disabilities.
On the north side of the Sports and Recreation Center, there is a gym on the ground floor and also a toilet with a shower for people with disabilities. Access to the gym on level -1 for people with mobility disabilities is possible only with the help of a stairlift.
There is no properly marked parking space next to the building.
